A mixture of strategy and action. You get to guide your squad on various missions (using the mouse). You can aim and fire instantly but you have to make your decisions carefully (running recklessly in a Rambo-like fashion through a map will generally not cut the mustard). The interface and controls are easy to pick-up for the most part, although the cutscene dialogue does get a little tiresome.
