It isn't often that I would through around the word masterpiece but purely in terms of gameplay, Iji is just that. An action platformer with a large splash of RPG thrown in, the amount of choices to make (what abilities to level up, what path to take and which enemies to kill) in this game is almost daunting but also gives it a large replayability factor.
There is the small quibble of too much dialogue, however most of this is optional and does not have to be read. If you do get involved in the story however, it is more involving than you might think, if a little stilted at times.
